A beginner's guide to mobile strategy games
Strategy games on mobile can look intimidating, but most of them run on a few repeating ideas. Learn those and every new title gets easier.
First, respect positioning. In games like Tideborn Tactics, who stands where matters more than raw stats. Use high ground and chokepoints, and never let a single unit get surrounded.
Second, don't rush. The AI often punishes greed. We've won far more missions by baiting enemies forward than by charging in.
Third, read the one new mechanic each mission introduces. These games usually teach by stacking small ideas, so ignoring a tutorial tooltip tends to cost you later.
Finally, it's fine to restart a mission. Reloading to try a cleaner plan isn't cheating, it's how you learn the system.
